Who loves Chinese food!? 🥡🥢
I was invited for a sneak peak 👀 soft opening of Ottawa’s newest halal Chinese food restaurant yesterday – Mojo’s Chinese Food. And it was honestly SO AWESOME 😱. Not only are they offering halal Chinese food, but Mojo is also serving vegetarian dishes as well! 🌱
Mojo is the owner and chef at @mojoschinesefood. I had the luxury of getting a tour of the restaurant and the opportunity to chat about his background. Here are some FUN FACTS 🤗:
👉🏼 Mojo was born in Sri Lanka and moved to Toronto then Ottawa in the early 90’s 😊
👉🏼 His family owned a restaurant in Metcalfe, Ontario for 14 years 💚
👉🏼 Mojo is now venturing on his own culinary and entrepreneurial journey by opening up his food restaurant 🎉
👉🏼 He’s taking us on a whole new culinary explosion of Chinese 🇨🇳 x Sri Lankan 🇱🇰 cuisine!

My Honest Thoughts
First and foremost, I want to say that the flavours were out of this world 🤯. I was stoked to try the Singapore noodles which were fragrant with curry flavours and packed with delicious shrimp/chicken. I also want to take the time to rave about the egg rolls. To be very honest, I always preferred spring rolls over egg rolls… until I tried these. I can’t even begin to explain the perfect seasoned filling of these delicious appetizers 😭😋
The official opening is THIS SUNDAY, July 27th for pick-up and delivery (Uber Eats). Location is 105A Shuttleworth Drive, Unit 3 in Findley Creek 👊🏼
